1. How should I measure my windows for shutters? 
Please refer to our measuring instructions link from the home page.
2. Do you make interior and exterior shutters? No, here at Top Wood Shutters, Inc. we only manufacture interior wood lantation shutters.
3. Do I have a choice of how the shutter is mounted to my window? Yes, you can mount your shutters on the inside or the outside of your window frame.
4. What are my choices for the sizes of louvers? Standard louver size for plantation shutters is 3 1/2”. For your convenience we can also custom make your shutters with 2 1/2”or 4 1/2” louvers as well.
5. Do you make any shutters in standard sizes? Yes, we carry many standard sizes in stock in our warehouse ready to beinstalled. All standard sizes are for outside mount using 3 1/2” louvers.
6. Can I have shutters for a closet or glass door? Yes, we can custom make a shutter for any door. There are three designs you can choose from, a bi-folding door, a bi-passing door or elegant French doors.
7. Do you provide installation? Yes, we have a number of experienced installers that will install your shutters at your convenience.
8. What's the difference between solid wood and joint wood? Solid Basswood is the #1 choice of wood in the shutter industries. It'slightweight but strong, sturdy, and stable. It is also well suited to paint, stained, and natural finishes. While joint wood is a composite material lumber made of recycled wood fibers from recovered saw dust, peanut shells, bamboo, straw, and waste products such as high-density polyethylene and PVC. Additives like colorants, stablelizers, reinforcing agents and lubricants are also used which tends to deform in hot weather.
